Introductions

Frank's Hebrew Book Store has a long history. Founded in 1916 by Michael Frank who was a Torah scribe in Lithuania, he immigrated to America as a young man and opened a bookstore at 6002 Quincy Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio in the USA. He sold Jewish books, tobacco, and soft drinks.

This evolved into the Hebrew Book Store you can see today, which looks much like it did in the nostalgic historical image mapped photo of our founder in front of the original location. Those of you with Web browsers and a few extra minutes can look around to get the feel of the place, and see what we have to offer inside.

When Michael Frank took ill, his brother Aaron Frank, also a scribe, took over the store. Later on his children Sanford & Annette and her husband Sigmund continued. Currently the store is run by Evan Frank & Aaron Epstein, 3rd generation members of the Frank family.

You can see our old store just as it was on Mayfield and Lee, and you can also come see us at our new location at Cedar and Green!

If you live in the Cleveland area we warmly invite you to drop by.
Our store hours are:
Sunday: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Mon-Thurs: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Friday: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
If you live further away we will still service your requests with the same intimacy and familiarity that has kept our family business strong through all these years.
